Dr. Rahul Yadav is trained in Endourology and one of the best Endourologist with a successful career of many years.
WHAT IS ENDOUROLOGY?
Endourology refers to a specific specialty area in urology in which small internal endoscopes and instrumentation are used to see into the urinary tract and assist/perform surgery. Endourology is also a minimally invasive technique and widely practiced to treat urinary organ stones. Stones are first fragmented with laser or Pneumatic lithotripsy using small instruments through natural body channels like the urethra, bladder and ureter and then extracted.
WHAT END ENDOUROLOGY PROCEDURES?
Retrograde Intra-renal Surgery (RIRS) Flexible Ureteroscopy, Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), Ureterolithotripsy (URS), Cystolithotripsy for treating Kidney stones, ureteric stones and Bladder stones.
Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor/Bladder Biopsy, Urethro-Cystoscopy, OIU, TURP for treating Bladder cancer, Urethral stricture and enlarged prostate
Cystoscopy for diagnosing/treating Urinary tract infection/Urine infection/Urogenital infections/Urinary Problems
Laser surgery for stones and prostatic enlargement.
What is Uretheroscopy(Endourology)?
Urethroscopy is to see and treat diseases and problems of Urethra like stricture or blockage of the urethra.
What is Cystoscopy:
Meaning visualizing the urinary bladder for various pathologies and then various small instruments can be used through it to treat diseases like Bladder stones etc.
What is Ureteroscopy:
It is used to treat stones and tumors of the ureter.
What is Flexible Ureteroscopy/RIRS:
It is used to treat kidney stones without any puncture into the kidney from the back as done during Nephrolithotomy for very large kidney stones.
What is Nephrolithotomy/Nephroscopy:
It is used to treat large kidney stones and tumors of the urinary lining in the kidney through a small keyhole puncture in the back.
What is TURP:
Obstructing prostate tissue will be removed with this approach without any cuts in the body and through natural orifices.
What is ESWL (Extracorporeal shock wave Lithotripsy):
Is an outpatient procedure to treat small kidney and upper ureteric stones. With administration of shock waves through the side of the body after targeting to the stone, shock wave energy is spread at the locale of the stone, with the intent of stone disintegration. The fine fragments then pass in the patient’s urine. The procedure works best for smaller stones. Other determinants of achievement with this treatment technique include stone composition and also the specific anatomic location of the stone among the urinary tract.
Dr. Rahul Yadav is the best Endourologist for all these procedures for patients
where it is indicated.
