Currently working as a “Director” in Department of Urology, Andrology, Kidney Transplantation and Robotic Uro-Oncology in Max Super Speciality Hospital, Viraj Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Dr Rahul Yadav holds a glorious clinical experience of over 21 years.
He started his urology career in Medanta – The Medicity, under Dr Rajesh Ahlawat, in Department of Urology, Renal Transplant and Robotics, after completing his Masters in General Surgery.
Dr Rahul Yadav got selected in M.Ch. course(Urology) in the country’s oldest and most prestigious institution – King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. He served the institution from the year 2010 to 2013.
After completing M.Ch in Urology, he moved to Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, Delhi as a “Consultant” in Dr Anant Kumar’s team. He underwent a diverse experience learning and excelling at advanced Laparoscopic Urological Surgeries, Kidney Transplant and Robotic Urological Surgeries.
Later, he joined the Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital, Delhi as the Head of the Department (HOD). He succeeded in establishing a fully-functional department of Urology and Renal Transplant, which came about as the first dedicated Urology and Kidney Transplant department in East Delhi (under GNCTD). The department won accolades for offering comprehensive Urology services including
Laparoscopic/Reconstructive Urological Surgeries, Endourology, Uro-Oncology, Andrology, Laser surgery, Female & Paediatric Urology services in eastern part of Delhi. In November 2018, Dr Rahul Yadav joined as “Senior Consultant” in Apollomedics Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow and established a fully functional Urology and Kidney Transplantation unit.
In December 2021, he moved as a “Director”, Urology, Andrology, Kidney Transplantation, Robotic Uro-Oncology and Renal Sciences in Tender Palm Super Speciality Hospital and setup a fully operational Urology, Kidney Transplantation, Robotics and Dialysis unit and served until mid-June 2024.
In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, he also served from March 2022, as the "Chief Kidney Transplant Surgeon" at Charak Super Speciality Hospital in Lucknow and later at Wellsun Super Speciality Hospital in Lucknow. He also setup the completely operational Kidney Transplantation unit at both the institutions.
He is the only Kidney Transplant Surgeon in Lucknow who have started and established a full operational kidney Transplantation program at five major Super Specialities Hospitals(in Lucknow region) and holds a vast experience in all sorts of Kidney Transplants (like Blood Group Match-ABO compatible, Blood Group Mismatch-ABO incompatible, Paediatric Kidney Transplantation, Complex/High Risk Kidney Transplantation, Second/Third/Fourth Kidney Transplantation).
From June 2024, he moved as “Director”, Urology, Andrology, Kidney Transplant and Robotic Uro-Oncology in Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow.
Dr Rahul Yadav, trained in Robotic surgeries and Kidney transplant, has keen interest and experience in Uro-oncology, Female and Paediatric Urological diseases, sexual problems and its management. He is among the few dedicated Laparoscopic/Robotic Uro-oncology surgeons in India.
Dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and follow up of patients undergoing urology treatment at various top Super Specialities Hospital, he has gained a vast experience in all urology subspecialties.
Currently Max Healthcare is counted amongst top most specialized centres for all Urological treatments, Kidney Transplantation and Robotic Uro-Oncology in India. In addition, Dr Rahul Yadav has earned reputed awards, fellowships, and has several research publications under his name. Known for delivering world-class clinical practice, patient care and well-being, he has been an integral part of national and international Urological Associations.
Adding further glory to his set of achievements, he has also been awarded certification in Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Methodology by Manipal University (Manipal and Karnataka) and various “Fellowships” in Urology, Kidney Transplantation and Robotic Uro-oncology from few of the World’s best healthcare centres in Singapore and Shanghai.
